Songs of Innocence

Dear Mrs. Jones,

I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told Sarah how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had. Then I found one more in the back room, and several people were fighting over who would get it. Sarah's picture does NOT show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Smith

Don’t know if you guys have seen this picture or not before, but it made me laugh so hard when I came across it. I think I read somewhere that it was originally shown on the Conan O’Brien show so it’s not real, but I wish it was, and I hope that I get some seriously awesome drawings like it over my years as a teacher! This is totally the type of thing that will get me out of bed in the morning 20 years in to it.

  1. Oh I'm sure you'll see tons of funny stuff. When I was in 3rd grade we had this "favorites" list that we filled out and our teacher put them on display at open house. My parents were mortified when they read mine and saw that my favorite drink was a wine cooler. Unfortunately my dad had let me have a sip once and so naturally one sip would mean that it would become my fave!

  2. No way! I can't believe it slipped past your teacher and made it up on the wall!

So Elsja, would wine coolers still be on your favorites list today? Will they be the featured drink at your wedding? Haha :)
